On 15 June 2026, SDBC members gathered in Amsterdam for the Council’s first General Assembly, held in the presence of H.E. Corinne Cicéron Bühler, Ambassador of Switzerland. Members reflected on a successful first year, approved the 2025 Annual Accounts, appointed new Board members, and established the SDBC Supervisory Board. The evening also highlighted the growing impact of the Young Professionals community and concluded with a keynote address and networking reception.

On 4 June 2026, SDBC members enjoyed an exclusive visit to the Port of Rotterdam, Europe’s largest seaport. Aboard the Nieuwe Maze, participants experienced the port from the water and gained valuable insights into its role in global trade, innovation, sustainability, and logistics. The event combined unique perspectives, meaningful networking, and inspiring discussions on the future of business and international supply chains.

We are looking back on an inspiring and highly interactive Leadership Workshop: From Networking to Influence, provided by Stefan Lansdorp (LHH - The Adecco Group) and hosted at the Amsterdam Novartis offices.

Young Professionals came together for an engaging session focused on communication, authentic influence, and meaningful connection. Through open interaction, participants gained valuable insights while strengthening relationships. A wonderful afternoon of learning!

We recently hosted the SDBC webinar “One month of the Jetten cabinet: Where do we stand & what lies ahead?” Jan Güse, provided his expert insights on the first month of the new Dutch cabinet and shared his outlook for business and policy, bringing participants up to speed during an engaging lunchtime session.

We were pleased to see the invitation shared widely across organisations, welcoming a broad and diverse audience, as participation was open to all.

We had the exclusive honour of joining Ms Andrea Rauber Saxer (SECO) and Ms Corinne Cicéron Bühler, Ambassador of Switzerland to the Netherlands, for two engaging exchanges in Rotterdam and The Hague. We started with an inspiring Afternoon Dialogue, where guests shared perspectives. The following morning, we continued dialogue over breakfast, to further deepening our shared understanding of bilateral cooperation and strategic priorities.

We were pleased to feature a valuable knowledge session, hosted by Loyens & Loeff. With an insightful programme titled “Legal & Tax aspects in investment decisions: a comparison between Switzerland and the Netherlands”, experts from Loyens & Loeff shared their perspectives on how evolving regulatory and tax developments are shaping investment strategies. Of course, the session gave space to networking as well.

We were delighted to host our Young Professionals and SDBC members for an exclusive visit to the Parliament in The Hague. The event provided a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the Dutch political landscape and participants enjoyed a rare behind-the-scenes experience, engaging discussions, and valuable networking with fellow members in a truly inspiring setting, including the meet & greet with Silvio Erkens.

SDBC proudly hosted our very first SDBC New Year Reception at the Heineken Experience, bringing together members, aspirant-member, SDBC Young Professionals and business partners, to celebrate new beginnings.

The evening was marked by an engaging atmosphere, offering meaningful connections and a shared outlook toward the year ahead. We thank all attendees for contributing to an inspiring start of the new year. A warm thank you for Rob Theunissen for his inspiring contribution.

The recent Young Professionals Kick-Off proved to be a great success. Talents from across our member organisations came together for an energising and inspiring start to this new initiative. The strong engagement in the room underscored the value of connecting the next generation of Swiss-Dutch professionals and creating a platform to ‘connect, learn and lead’. It marks a promising beginning for the Young Professionals community within SDBC!

The SDBC proudly celebrated its first event on September 25th! A highly inspiring company visit in style to the Breitling Boutique in The Hague brought together precision and innovation in practice, precisely what the SDBC stands for.

It was a great honour to celebrate the official launch of the Swiss Dutch Business Council on 1 July at the residence of the Ambassador of Switzerland, Mrs Corinne Cicéron Bühler. A special event in a memorable place! The newly appointed board presented itself, the SDBC mission, and upcoming activities. A highligt was the unreveiling of the SDBC logo, designed by Studio Harris Blondman. Many thanks to the Embassy team for hosting and for the great endorsement!
