The Embassy of Switzerland in the Netherlands was pleased to invite a select group of SDBC members to a special breakfast meeting with Ambassador Andrea Rauber, offering an intimate setting to engage with Ambassador Rauber, exchange perspectives, and discuss topics of strategic relevance between Switzerland and the Netherlands.

We felt honored to be invited by the Embassy of Switzerland in the Netherlands and Ambassador Andrea Rauber (SECO) to join a Afternoon Dialogue. Held in an inspiring setting in Rotterdam, the session brought together senior leaders from the logistics and industrial sectors to exchange perspectives on developments impacting supply chains, trade flows, and industrial competitiveness between Switzerland and the Netherlands.

We were pleased to co-organize with Loyens & Loeff an insightful knowledge event, titled “Legal & Tax aspects in investment decisions: a comparison between Switzerland and the Netherlands” During this session, experts from Loyens & Loeff shared their perspectives on the differences and similarities between Swiss and Dutch organisational structures in M&A, particularly from a legal and tax perspective.

We were delighted to host our Young Professionals and SDBC members for an exclusive visit to the Parliament in The Hague. The event provided a unique opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the Dutch political landscape and its impact on the Swiss–Dutch business community. Participants enjoyed a rare behind-the-scenes experience, engaging discussions, and valuable networking with fellow members in a truly inspiring setting, including the meet & greet with Silvio Erkens.

Young Professionals Kick-Off: Connect, Learn, Lead
Inspiring the next generation of Swiss–Dutch leaders

We were thrilled to host the official launch of the Young Board of the Swiss Dutch Business Council - a new platform connecting the next generation of leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs from Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Our keynote speaker, Azza El-Hayek, Co-Founder and Partner at SkillLab, shared her perspectives. During the evening, the Young Board presented its vision and upcoming initiatives, inviting young professionals to contribute, exchange ideas, and actively help shape the platform.

We had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive SDBC event at the Breitling Boutique in Den Haag, where Swiss precision met Dutch innovation. The gathering provided a unique opportunity to connect with fellow professionals, exchange ideas, and strengthen business ties in line with our mission to foster collaboration, advocacy, and shared growth. It was an evening that celebrated community, impact, and the Swiss–Dutch business corridor.

At SDBC, we are proud to support and amplify efforts like the NL-Switzerland biotech trade mission, where cross-border collaboration ignites innovation in health, life sciences, and sustainable technologies.

Our role is to foster meaningful connections between Dutch and Swiss organizations, bridge expertise across borders, and create platforms where promising projects can meet investors, partners, and regulatory insight. We believe that when bright minds from both countries join forces, we not only accelerate scientific breakthroughs but also strengthen the Swiss-Dutch economic corridor as a hub of future-focused growth.

It was a great honour to celebrate the official launch of the Swiss Dutch Business Council on 1 July at the residence of the Ambassador of Switzerland, Mrs Corinne Cicéron Bühler. A special event in a memorable place! The newly appointed board presented itself, the SDBC mission, and upcoming activities. A highligt was the unreveiling of the SDBC logo, designed by Studio Harris Blondman. Many thanks to the Embassy team for hosting and for the great endorsement!
