
Council Mission & Vision
The Swiss Dutch Business Council (SDBC) mission is to support and strengthen Swiss business interests in the Netherlands, through networking opportunities, advocacy and where necessary collective representation. It enables community impact, knowledge and resource sharing. As a result, the Council aims to accelerate the Swiss-Dutch business corridor with a focus on creating and stimulating mutual economic welfare. The SDBC is a non-profit organization.

Is the SDBC a commercial organization?
No, the Swiss Dutch Business Council is a non-profit association.
Who is membership intended for?
Membership is possible for companies and organizations. It is aimed at Swiss companies operating in the Netherlands or companies operating from the Netherlands with a high affinity for the Swiss market.
What networking events or workshops does the SDBC offer?
The SDBC organizes various types of activities that offer good opportunities for networking. Examples of this are company visits, theme meetings aimed at knowledge sharing, an annual business forum and receptions for special moments during the year.
Can non-members attend SDBC events?
Most events are reserved for members only. By exception some events may be opened to non-members by invitation or registration (when mentioned).
Does the SDBC have initiatives for young professionals?
Yes, the SDBC has a dedicated Young Professionals Committee that creates opportunities for early-career talent to connect, learn, and grow within the Swiss-Dutch business community. The committee organizes tailored events such as career talks, skill-building workshops, and informal meetups to foster cross-generational exchange.
Is the SDBC affiliated with any governmental institutions?
The SDBC is a non-profit association and operates completely independently.
In which language are SDBC events conducted?
Most events are held in English to accommodate the international business audience.
